Bound by Lust
Romantic Stories of Submission and Sensuality
Captured by Your Own Desire
Only the truest romantics are willing to explore their deepest desires. Imagine finding a partner who is just as ravenous and uninhibited as you are. Bound by Lust, curated by libidinous leximaven Shanna Germain, is a heady combination of sweet and sexy, dirty and romantic. In Alana Noël Voth's "Marcelle," a man finds more than his heart's desire in the acceptance of the woman he loves, while the characters in Sommer Marsden's "Reclaiming Spring" discover that dominance and submission help them reclaim their marriage. For the artist in Kristina Wright's "Brushstrokes," the safety of love gives voice to her deepest desires. The BDSM bound within these pages is naughty and nice—bondage, spanking, domination, pain and pleasure. Bring on the love and leather, along with the dungeons and dens.
With contributed stories by Sommer Marsden, Janine Ashbless, Donna George Storey, Allison Wonderland, Rachel Kramer Bussel, Justine Elyot, Evan Mora, Kristina Wright, Kristina Lloyd, Dominic Santi, Andrea Dale, Nikki Magennis, Alana Noël Voth, Teresa Noelle Roberts, Vida Bailey, Craig Sorensen, Clarice Clique, Sharazade, and Veronica Wilde.
"Oh, god. Yes, Please. 'Bondage with Someone You Love'—there's a category of society that's just begging for its own Hallmark section. Thankfully, Bound by Lust is here with nineteen whip-smart stories to fill the need." —from the foreword by Alison Tyler
First and foremost, Shanna Germain is a leximaven of the highest order, exploring her love of the written word through a multitude of formats and styles. Shanna (pronounced like ‘Shaun’ with a sigh of pleasure at the end) also claims the titles of (in no particular order): girl geek, l, wanderlust-er, avid walker and biker, and book-nerd.
With a whole lot of writing years under her belt (or her collar, depending on the day), Shanna’s poems, essays, short stories, novellas, articles and more have found homes in hundreds of magazines, newspapers, books and websites. She’s even garnered an award here and there, including a Pushcart nomination, the Rauxa Prize for Erotic Poetry and the C. Hamilton Bailey Poetry Fellowship.
Raised in upstate New York, Shanna spent her quarter-life crisis years in Portland, Ore. Her writing travels have taken her to places like Amsterdam, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Germany, Italy and Nicaragua. After a year-long jaunt on a wild island off the coast of Scotland, she has returned to the rain-washed streets of Portland, which she considers her forever home.
