subGURLZ
Jennifer Camper
Set in the toxic labyrinth of abandoned subway tunnels, subGURLZ chronicles the super-hero happenings of three chemically altered girlfriends. Swizzle is the strongest person on earth: unfortunately, the poor thing's always killing people accidentally. Liver, her girlfriend, is luckily blessed with the powers of bringing the dead back to life—as well as a steady appetite for drink, nicotine, and whatever else she can steal on the job. Their partner, Byte, has brain power so stupendous that she’s unable to grow hair on her head. Are subGURLZ good or bad? It all depends which side you're on.
"subGURLZ is pure comics noir, and Camper's Drano-drinkin', code-bustin', rat-grabbin' babes are three mutant vigilante dykes I'd like to meet in a dark subway tunnel." —Alison Bechdel
